Utah: Before I begin, I’ll provide some context. There is a difference between working for the CIA and being recruited by the CIA.

Utah: When you work at the CIA, you’ve gone through the regular employee scenario.
Utah: You apply on the website, get an interview, and then go through all that cool stuff like “The greatest training in the world.”

Utah: Being recruited by the CIA is something different.
Utah: I’m not talking about being an Agent where you are from another country, and someone from the CIA convinces you to throw it away to come live in America.

Utah: Being recruited by the CIA to work for the CIA means the CIA knows precisely who you are and what you are capable of.

Utah: This process can go one of two ways.
Utah: Either the CIA approaches you, and you get that Hollywood dream scenario where a person in a suit comes in and whisks you away into a world of intrigue and espionage.

Utah: That does indeed happen. That scenario is commonly called a “Recruitment class.” It’s like Harry Potter, where you have a specific archetype that fits each class.

Utah: My recruitment class was for kids who worked for the CIA before graduating high school.

Utah: The secret is that everyone becomes the Director of the CIA. It’s called the “Traitor Class,” and I’ll explain why. But the CIA knows the minute you’re born if you will become the director of the CIA.
